Our story..

I'm Luc. The owner and driver behind Hitchin Couriers. That's me in the picture and my phone number is displayed on this website, so you always know who you are working with. Good to know.

For the past 30 years I've owned a successful business in the events industry, supplying sound and lighting equipment for live events.
In 2020 when the COVID pandemic closed down that entire industry for over 18 months, I decided to utilise my existing logistics skills and delivery vehicles to pivot into making courier deliveries for other local businesses.  Hitchin Couriers was born.

We quickly realised that one way in which we could really stand out from the crowd was to offer a polite, friendly, reliable service that our customers can depend upon. More than just a driver, we genuinely care for and take interest in each consignment and want your business to be well represented when we are making your deliveries on your behalf.
It sounds simple, but you'd be surprised how few others bother to do this.

We offer a dedicated (often single item) delivery service taking your goods from A to B the same or next day depending on what's needed. We don't operate via a hub warehouse or have a van full of other peoples boxes - that's best left to the parcel services making hundreds of drops per day. 
Instead, we aim to provide a far more bespoke dedicated courier service. Perfectly suited to many of our local industries from aerospace and motorsport to pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
